Church Life

Men’s Ministry meets on the 1st Saturday of each month for fellowship and Bible study. They also discuss how they can be of service. They assist with maintenance of the church, church grounds and the playground. The Men’s Ministry also hosts an annual dinner for the women of Holy Cross.

The Holy Cross Women meet every 2nd Saturday of the month for fellowship and Bible study.  The women work in the several areas of service for our church. In addition to the quilts, they assemble hygiene kits and school supplies for Lutheran World Relief.

The members of Holy Cross collect towels, toothpaste, soap, combs and nail clippers for personal care kits. During the back to school sales, we also collect school supplies for school kits. These are sent to Lutheran World Relief to be distributed when disasters strike.

Locally we contribute regularly to the Helping Hands food bank and support the Shepherd’s Rest Ministry..

Many Lutheran churches in the area use Lutheranch for their retreats, summer camps and revivals. Lutheranch is maintained and cleaned by many of our members and we have another work day scheduled for November 19.

Our Disaster Ministry works to complete art supply bags for the children who attend the God’s Can Do camps.

Disaster Ministry

The worship experience begins with being greeted at the door by our members.  We are a liturgical church meaning we have a specific order of service. Our sacraments are baptism and holy communion. Sermons, hymns and prayers are an important part of our worship.  To make the service run smoothly, the Altar Guild prepares the Lord’s Table for communion and changes the paraments to match the calendar year.

Congregants are involved in the service as assistants, and usher to help participate in the worship.
